About Samson Shepherd
My name is Samson Shepherd. I Love God, my wife, and my daughters. I am a computer consultant, technician, and enthusiast. I am very good at what I do and I enjoy doing it.
I have been serving in various Arizona areas ever since late 2010. I am currently employed as the Director of IT at a resort in Yuma. I manage everything IT related with this company, including their website (WordPress), email system (GSuite), servers (Windows 2019, 2022), workstations (Windows 7, 10, 11), email advertising (Mailchimp), Reservation Software (RMS Cloud), computer security (ESET), LED Street Sign digital ads, networking, printers/copiers, and their WiFi. I've had the honor of training multiple new employees in many aspects, including how to use various software, understanding policy, and proper procedure. I take pleasure in working with this company as they have allowed me to expand my horizons ever since 2011. I currently reside in Queen Creek area of Arizona while working and directing remotely for this company. I also work full-time in IT for a local community college and currently operating as their IT Software Analyst and Imaging Architect.
Over the past 15+ years, I have extended my skills to some small companies and many repeat individual customers. I have over 20 years of extensive computer hardware & software troubleshooting experience and a very thorough knowledge through experience of all versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, including Windows Server. I have limited Linux OS experience, including Ubuntu and ProxMox. In addition to troubleshooting, training, support, and repairs, I have built many desktop computers from scratch. I am also skilled in remote support (TeamViewer, LogMeIn, etc.). I also have a lot of experience with wired and wireless networking. I feel very comfortable and confident in my skills and ability to help those in need of my kind of service.
I must admit that most of the skills I use in the field come from self-taught experiences and research. With this combination of experience and study, I feel I have a very good understanding of technology, how it all integrates together, and how beneficial it can be. That is the core of my knowledge and what I want to share with others and the best part is … I enjoy doing it!
